About Illuminarts Photography

Drew and Amy Semel are a husband and wife team who have combined their diverse artistic talents to create IlluminArts Photography. Along with the IlluminArts staff, they offer a distinctive blend of fine-art storytelling, a sensitive and unobtrusive style of shooting, while being devoted to outstanding customer care. Working with IlluminArts is a dynamic, fun, and collaborative experience that begins well before your wedding day arrives.

Drew was born in Chicago and brings a humorous and easy approach while working with you and your loved ones. Clients deeply appreciate his artistic talents and adore his ability to have a great time and put everyone around him at ease. Drew began his career in New York City, moved on to Florence, Italy, and then headed off to Hollywood where he developed a unique photojournalistic style while working in the entertainment industry. Through the 1990's he built an impressive list of clients such as Fox Broadcasting, Nike, HBO, Turner Boradcasting, and Warner Brothers Pictures. Drew has also travelled the world both professionally and personally, always developing himself and his craft along the way.

Amy's background as a fine-arts painter, illustrator, and photographer was a perfect compliment to the business. Not only does she bring a well trained and creative eye to IlluminArts, but also a strong love for details and a powerful commitment towards taking wonderful care of the clients. In 2002 Amy and Drew married and then in 2007 they had Gabriel, which lead to some slight changes in the IlluminArts office! Currently, Amy has full-time super mom status, while running the business and post production on all of the shoots, while Drew is out front with the staff shooting throughout the Southwest.

As a husband and wife team, their creativity and commitment to excellence is unparallelled. We're sure that working with IlluminArts Photography and enjoying the images from your special day will be an experience you will continue to appreciate for years to come.
